The Bladez electric scooters are suitable for recreational riding in fair weather, but they have a serious shortcoming as a means of transportation. Neither their battery pack nor their electric motor is in a water proof enclosure. Their scooters thus can NOT be operated in rainy weather, or even on damp roads. Driving them on damp roads will cause water to be splashed/sprayed onto the battery pack - including its electrical terminals. Water is also splashed/sprayed onto the electric motor. This shorts out the electrical system and shuts off the scooter. If water is allowed to stay on the battery terminals and electric motor for prolonged periods of time, those devices could corrode. Bladez electric scooters are thus poorly suited for areas that receive much rain.
Another shortcoming of the Bladez electric scooters is that they do not coast very far, because they are not free-wheeling. This substantially reduces battery range.
In the year 2003 Bladez abandoned all of their internet dealers. If you are looking for a practical electric scooter, I suggest that you buy another brand. A good choice are the ones made by ZAP (Zereo Air Pollution) Electric Vehicles. They even now sell/distribute electric cars!
