Each LED light fixture uses built-in super bright LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) as the light source. LEDs are virtually immune to shock and vibration and will operate in temperature extremes. Lamps made using the super bright LEDs are more energy efficient that even compact fluorescent lamps and they last longer! These super bright LEDs are far brighter than the regular LEDs in found computers and stereos. Since the super bright LEDs are new technology they cost more, but are much better suited for LED lamps. LED operating life is greater than 100,000 hours! That is over 11.5 years if used 24 hours a day 365 days a year! If only used for 4 hours a day, they will last 6 times as long - that is over 69 years! The LED lamp fixtures in this web page are designed for 12 Volt DC systems instead of AC current, as a result, the light has no flicker. Fixtures are available in 6 volt, but the pricing may differ. These lamps are perfect for homes powered by solar electric panels (panels are available at this link). The more efficient your lighting is, the fewer solar power panels you need on your solar powered home! Think of the money you will save in solar panel installation costs!
Half of the LEDs in the lamp fixtures are white and half are yellow for a softer white light. These fixtures will operate in temperature extremes - unlike many fluorescent lights. They could be used on an AC circuit if they were plugged into a 12 Volt DC power supply. LEDs lamps are the future of lighting - be an early adopter!
The LED lamps use about 1/2 of the power of compact fluorescents and last over 10 times longer! Compact fluorescents typically last 5,000 hours to 10,000 hours, instead of over 100,000 hours for LED lamps.

Many 120 Volt AC compact fluorescent bulbs made by FEIT Electric are available for only $5 to $7 per bulb! All of these bulbs have an Actual Life of 8,000 to 10,000 hours. They are available in the following types: Twists, Reflectors, Chandeliers, Triple Tubes, and Cylinder. The bulbs are available in groups of twelve.

A solar powered lighting system is ideal for backyard storage sheds and outhouses. The system on this website (see photo below) consists a photovoltaic solar power panel, a rechargable battery pack, two 6-volt lamps, built-in on-off switch, and mounting hardware and wire. The brand name is Solar Shedlite. The manufacturer's specs are that it charges by day for up to 90 minutes of light at night! The specs also say that the unit is sealed, rugged, charges even on cloudy days, has simple hook-up, and that the battery pack lasts for years! The normal retail price is $150 - buy it here for only $130! An optional remote switch kit is available for an extra $30.
